Viscosity and Viscosity Change After Standing at Low Temperature of Aircraft Turbine Lubricants

We perform viscosity testing by ASTM D2532 to find the kinematic viscosity of aircraft turbine lubricants at cold temperatures for an extended time period. This test method covers the determination of the kinematic viscosity of aircraft turbine lubricants at low temperature, and the percent change of viscosity after a 3-h and a 72-h standing period at low temperature.

We also perform viscosity testing by ASTM D1092ASTM D2161ASTM D2270ASTM D2422ASTM D2983ASTM D341ASTM D445IP 226IP 71ISO 2909, and ISO 3104. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types.
