We perform testing by Specification ASTM D4293, which covers phosphate ester based fluids for turbine lubricants and electro-hydraulic control fluids. These fluids are used only in turbine systems that have been designed or modified to accommodate phosphate ester fluids. ASTM D4293 defines the minimum requirements of fire-resistant fluids for satisfactory performance in turbine applications. Note that fire-resistant fluids will still burn if enough energy is supplied.
