We perform thermal stability testing on hydraulic oils by ASTM D2070, which is required by most hydraulic fluid specifications. This test method is designed to evaluate the thermal stability of hydraulic oils in the presence of steel and copper catalysts. The test is conducted at 135c for 168 hours, so the results are typically more severe than ASTM D130 (copper strip corrosion) and ASTM D665 (steel corrosion). This test is required by most hydraulic fluid specifications.
We also perform thermal stability testing by ASTM D6468, ASTM E487, ASTM E537, FTM 3411, FTM 3458, FTM 3459, IP 467, MIL-H-22072 §4.6.3, MIL-PRF-3150 §4.5.4, MIL-PRF-32033 §4.2.5.5, MIL-PRF-372E §4.5.2.1, MIL-PRF-372E §4.5.2.2, and MIL-PRF-87252 §4.5.5.
