We perform lubricating grease quality testing by ASTM D2266, the four ball lubricity test, to determine the relative wear-preventing properties of greases. If the test conditions are changed the relative ratings may be different. ASTM D2266 determines the wear preventive characteristics of greases in sliding steel-on-steel applications.
