We perform diesel fuel testing by ASTM D2274 to measure the inherent stability of diesel fuel under accelerated oxidation conditions. The test is performed by placing a measured quantity of fuel in a test tube and bubbling oxygen through the liquid while heating the liquid to 95°C for 16 hours. Following the exposure, the liquid is filtered and the level of insoluble material is measured. This test simulates storage of diesel fuel for one year. A result of less than 1.5 mg/100 ml is generally considered acceptable.
We also perform oxidation stability testing by ASTM D2112, ASTM D2272, ASTM D2440, ASTM D525, ASTM D7462, ASTM D873, ASTM D942, DIN 51587, EN 15751, IP 142, IP 388, IP 40, ISO 12205, ISO 4623, and ISO 7536.
