We perform testing by ASTM D2369 to determine the weight percent volatile content of solvent-borne and water-borne coatings. Information from this test can also be used to determine the weight percent solids content (nonvolatile matter). This information is useful to paint manufacturers and users and to environmental interests for determining the volatiles emitted by coatings.
