We perform lubricants testing by ASTM D3228 to determine the nitrogen in lubricating oils and fuel oils when nitrogen is present in low concentrations. The nitrogen concentration in a sample is a measure of the presence of nitrogen-containing additives. This information can be used to predict the material’s performance.
