We perform quality testing by ASTM D5185M to determine determines the presence of 22 elements in lubricants and fuels. The concentrations of wear metals in fuel can be indicative of abnormal wear if there is a baseline for comparison. A marked increase in boron, sodium, or potassium levels can indicate contamination caused by coolant leakage in the equipment. This test method can be used to monitor equipment condition and define when corrective actions are needed.
We also perform metals testing by ASTM D4951, ASTM D7111, ASTM D7691, and EPA 6010. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types. Click on the test method number to learn more about each test.
