We perform lubricants quality testing by ASTM D7752 to evaluate the compatibility of hydraulic fluid mixtures as defined in hydraulic fluid specifications. ASTM D7752 can be used to evaluate new (unused) lubricant compatibility or the effects of combining new (replacement) lubricant with in-service (original) lubricant in the system. Because hydraulic systems utilize fine-filtration to protect components from wear, hydraulic fluid incompatibility often exhibits itself as premature filter plugging.
We also perform compatibility testing by FTM 3403, MIL-G-81322 §4.5.3, MIL-PRF-46170 §4.5.2, MIL-PRF-83282 §4.4.3, MIL-PRF-87252 §4.5.4, MIL-PRF-87257 §4.4.3, and MIL-PRF-9000 §4.6.3. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types. Click on the test method number to learn more about each test.
