We perform quality testing by ISO 11500 to determine the particulate contamination in hydraulic fluid using a liquid automatic particle counter (APC). The APC works on the light extinction principle, and has become an accepted means of determining the extent of contamination in liquids. Particulate contamination causes component wear and interferes with hydraulic fluid’s ability to lubricate.

We also perform particulate contamination testing by Hach 8160, FTM 3012, NAS 1638, FTM 3010, FTM 3009, ASTM D6217, ASTM D5452, ASTM D4176, ASTM D2276, FTM 3013, ASTM D4898. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types.
